I primarily use Matrix SoColor for Permanant haircolor that gives you 100 percent grey coverage. It is the first color line to offer a Cera-Oil conditioning complex. I prefer to use Logics for hilift hilites which has a blue base to neutralize unwanted "brassy" tones. If you are wanting less than four levels lighter than you are naturally using hilift color is the way to go. Bleach will often turn the hair to light and then need to be "toned" only to have the toner to fade out leaving you with white hair.
For grey blending I use Matrix Gloss Sync. The ammonia-free formula has fruit acids and fruit oils so it smooths and conditions the cuticle for even color with twice the shine. It is perfect for those starting to grey because a lighter than the natural color can be used, giving you a hilited look without the expense.
